Hi Folks..,
welcome to the JIM HERMEL BAND website.
BAND NAME CHANGE
Firstly, for those who have followed the band over the years
they will know that members of the JIM HERMEL BAND
were also members of the JIM HERMEL & THE HOT CHIX.
In 2020 (after
COVID-19 pandemic cancelled all band work like all bands everywhere)
we had plenty of time 'off work' to think on our future, and
we felt that it was time to move on from JIM HERMEL
& THE HOT CHIX so we changed to the JIM
HERMEL BAND.
Just as JIM
HERMEL & THE HOT CHIX did, the JIM HERMEL
BAND still 'lets loose' and continues to deliver dynamic
versions of the old classics and goodtime tunes that we have
built our past work reputation on, rocking out vibrant songs
for those who like to get out on the floor and rock the night
away or sing along to!!!
But Wow!, we sure have a lot of fun when we work and record
together (2009-2020) as JIM HERMEL & THE HOT CHIX
and we sincerely thank all organisers, event persons,
club managers who booked the band over those 12 years!
The band has been honoured to have played many times at some
the best Rock 'n' Roll events and venues in Australia over that
time. It's been a blast!!
So....what's been happening musically
for the JIM HERMEL BAND ?
CORDOLA
ROCKS THE RIVER
And we were thrilled to be part of the inaugural CORDOLA
ROCKS THE RIVER FESTIVAL near Morgan SA in October
2021.
This was a multi artist event and a very successful afternoon
of entertainment.
Our sincere thanks to the organisers for including our band
as part of the day.
WILLASTON COUNTRY MUSIC CLUB
The JIM HERMEL BAND will also be part of the
afternoon entertainment at the WILLASTON COUNTRY MUSIC
CLUB, Willaston Football Club, SA on the 5th of December
2021.
Fellow artists are PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS,
& RUNAWAY DIXIE.
This show was sold out.
2022

2022
We are pleased to say the 2021 show was very successful resulting
in the show being booked back for 9 weeks in 2022!
We had a fantastic time and the show is booked back in 2023
for THREE MONTHS!! (June/July/August)

JIM HERMEL was
inducted into the SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S MUSIC HALL OF FAME
in December 2021.

We would also
like to mention to potential employers reading this, (in these
current COVID-19 times where persons working in club/event areas
are required to be vaccinated to receive work), that all our
band members are fully vaccinated and ready to rock!!
If not supplied
by the venue, we can supply a high quality PA.
We also supply Posters and Publicity through our website/social
network etc., so no matter where we are booked we are all set
to deliver a fun show of goodtime rock 'n' roll, Country Rock,
Boogie and Blues and let everyone know it's happening best we
can!!
